Welcome to Medsin Regional Conference for the north of England

Our world’s population is ageing. Medical research is helping people live longer but what impact does this have on society?

The waiting room- a grey area? is Medsin’s Regional Conference for the north of England… Talks and workshops will explore our attitudes to ageing in developing countries and the UK, including issues such as older people’s role in society, ethical problems and the burden and economics of healthcare and care sector.

Lead by experts in the field, the plenary and workshops will develop our understanding of some of the key issues. It is imperative that we grasp the enormity of the impact the ageing population will have…allowing us to become better adjusted to cope with the demands it will make on us as healthcare professionals.
